THESIS DEFENCE

Benedict S. Dilag, CMF, a perpetually professed Claretian Missionary assigned in the Claretian Mission Center, MIlagro, Ormoc City, successfully defended his Masteral thesis in Theology with on March 6, 2002 at the Social Advocacy Center, Loyola School of Theology, Ateneo de Manila University. His thesis entitled "Claretian Popular Evangelization and Renewed Integral Evangelization in the Local Church of Eastern Visayas" was given excellent marks and cited for its structure, comprehensiveness and relevance by the board of examiners composed of Fr. James Meehan, SJ, Fr. Joseph Roche, SJ and Fr. Fruto Ramirez, SJ, the incoming Dean of the School of Theology. Fr. James Kroeger, MM, the thesis adviser, was so pleased with the result that he recommended it for publication.
The thesis defense was very distinctive due to the presence of the Provincial Superior, Fr. Rene Manubag, CMF; Fr. Domingo Moraleda, CMF; Fr. Emilio Pablo, CMF; Fr. Angel Ochagavia, CMF; Fr. Angelito Ancla; Claretian Scholastics and Lay Collaborators from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. This outstanding work is an auspicious start for the proposed Claretian Popular Evangelization in Eastern Visayas
