Mission of the Lay Claretian in Today's World
Vic, July 17-27, 2003

Phase One: During the first three days they studied the Reports on Formation, Economy and on The General Situation of the Lay Claretian Movement. Each delegate spoke about his/her group or region.
Phase Two: Election of new General Council and some outings, following the footsteps of Claret in Vic, Sallent and Montserrat. Mrs. Cristina Martinez, from Seville, Spain, was reelected as General Secretary of the Lay Claretian Movement. Mrs. Nancy Burgos, from Puerto Rico, will be responsible for finances, while Ms. Milagros Vicente, presently working in Choco, Colombia, will handle the Formation aspects.
The General Religious Assessor will be chosen among the members of the soon to be elected General Government of the Claretian Missionaries.
The Document: The third phase of the Assembly was devoted to a personal study, reflection, group discussions of the working document. And the end the Final Document was approved by all the delegates. The document "Mission of the Lay Claretian in Today's World" will guide the life and mission of the Lay Claretians during the next four years.
