VOCATION TESTIMONIES

Fr. Merayo, CMF
Puerto Rico, Antillas, America

How did your missionary vocation start?
I was eleven years old. I had an uncle and a cousin in the Claretians. They inspired me.

How was your vocation discernment?
….. as a result of my very young age, feelings and illusions, my decision at that time was a bit immature.

What was the reaction of your parents when you told them that you wanted to become a Claretian?
They felt happy and encouraged me.

Do you think it is worth to become missionary nowadays?
Of course, yes. It is always time to risk your life for the Cause of Christ.

What would you advise these young people who are now in their vocation discernment?
Pray a lot. Participate in a vocation group with other young persons in search. Commit yourself to an apostolate, for the moment. Look for spiritual accompaniment.
