Fr. Rhoel Gallardo
Hall
Fr.
Rene Manubag, CMF, blessed the new hall dedicated to Fr. Rhoel
Gallardo, CMF, the Claretian missionary whose courage, while
facing torture in the hand of the Abu Sayyaf terrorists in
2000, called the attention of the world.
The blessing took place at 5:30 PM on Oct. 24,
2003 during a gathering of Claretian missionaries, Claret
School teachers and friends on the occasion of St. Anthony
Mary Claret Feast.
Fr. Manuel Suñaz, CMF, cut the ribbon
at the inaugural rites, while Fr. Felimon Libot, School Director
and project promoter looked on.
The
new site has a big session hall and three other smaller classrooms.
It will be devoted mostly to the bible courses that every
Saturday Fr. Alex Gobrin, CMF and some other professors organize.
After the blessing all present were invited
to join the"accustic dinner" prepared by the Claret
High School to celebrate the feast of St. Anthony Mary Claret.
Many members of the different branches of the Claretian Family
were in attendance. It was a joyful evening.
