VOCATION
TESTIMONIES
Fr.
Peter Schultz, CMF
Wurzburg, Germany
How did your missionary vocation start?
I met Fr. Schweiger, during World War II. I became his altar
boy and talked with him often.
How was your vocation discernment?
I visited the seminarians of the Claretian community in
Frankfurt. Their simple, austere way of life and their fraternal
love attracted me very much.
What was the reaction of your parents when you told
them that you wanted to become a Claretian?
It was good, no problem.
Do
you think it is worth to become missionary nowadays?
Yes, of course, in view of the many challenges that the
world presents today.
What would you advise these young people who are now
in their vocation discernment?
To feel free and full of optimism, and to realize that,
the vocation to be an apostle, a missionary, is the most
needed nowadays.
