Formation house for lay and religious leaders in Krasnoyarsk area. (Russia-Siberia).

I. Four years ago, the Claretians in Siberia saw the need to buy a house for the formation of lay and religious leaders that could become the center of evangelization for the region. It is an urgent need since none of twenty (20) catholic communities in Krasnoyarsk area has any gathering place.

II. This formation and spirituality center will open new possibilities for the evangelisation of the whole Krasnoyarsk Region.

In this center we plan:En este centro planeamos:
1. Organize regular courses for initial and ongoing formation of young Catholics.
2. Organize vocation discernment seminars for the youth of the whole of Siberia,
especially the region of Krasnoyarsk.
3. A Retreat house and Seminar house for the formation of Brothers and Sisters from different religious Congregations. (The nearest house of this kind is in Irkutsk, at 1.200 kms. from de Krasnoyarsk).
4. Ecumenism is an important component of our mission in Siberia. This house could be a big help in this regard. Pastors and priests of different Christian denomination have already expressed their intention of renting the place for formation activities and ecumenical gatherings.
5. Organize Seminars and Encounters for pre-evangelisation and initial evangelisation, for intellectuals and professionals, like doctors and health workers to reflect on ethical questions, in defence of life etc.

II. Technical Data of the house:

1. The house is near Krasnoyarsk. Only 25 kms from the city center.
2. Simple and functional.
3. It can accommodate thirty (30) persons.
4. One chapel and rooms for group gatherings.
5. Kitchen and other needed places for the running of the house.

The price of the house is around 248,000 euro (to buy and repair). Part of this amount has been given by several sponsors-friends in France (90,000 euro), and the Vatican (13,000 euro).

After several months of looking for the ideal place for these our purposes and discerning many concrete offers we have bought this house in Ovsianka village, near Krasnoyarsk, (at 25 kms.), with good public transportation facilities. The house has a total of 800 square meters, divided in two floors. There is the possibility of adding an attic as a third floor. It has 18 rooms with the possibility of organizing some of them as gathering halls, chapel, dinning hall, etc. It has a surrounding area of 40 are. (4,000 square meters?)

Cost of different works to be done:

1. To buy the house and lot: 103, 000 euro (90 000 from sponsors in France, 13 000 from the Vatican). We have already paid for the house and lot.

2. Reconstruction of the house and land area:
